At UGC, we don’t just work in these communities—we live here, raise our families here, and share in the everyday experiences that make small towns so special. That’s why we’re deeply committed to giving back and being a positive force in the places we call home.
We proudly support local schools, youth sports, 4-H programs, and other community activities. Our team members are also coaches, mentors, and volunteers.
We believe that strong communities are built through connection, trust, and shared responsibility. Whether it’s sponsoring a local event, lending a hand at a fundraiser, or simply showing up when it matters most, we’re here to make a difference.

4-H Sponsorship – UGC actively participates in local 4-H/FFA livestock jackpots, auctions, and scholarship funds in five counties and two states (Duchesne UT, Uintah UT, Rio Blanco CO, Garfield CO, and Mesa CO).
Rangely High School Pole Vault Facilities – UGC donated a new pole vault pit and associated equipment which allowed Rangely High School to have their first competitive vaulters in 30 years.
Colorado Mesa Scholarship – UGC has participated directly and indirectly through West Slope COGA to support local funds for students attending CMU. Additionally, we provide internship opportunities for students from CMU, Colorado School of Mines, University of Wyoming, and San Juan College.
Texas Children’s Hospital Drive for a Child – with investor roots and relationships throughout the energy industry in Texas, UGC is proud to support this event with Musket Corp, Trillium, and other generous sponsors. The Texas Children’s Hospital is the largest children’s hospital in the nation and is recognized as a national leader in pediatric care.
Western Slope Community Hospital – UGC supports local hospitals fundraising at multiple events including the Fisher’s Liquor Barn Community Hospital golf fundraiser.
