Position Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing duties related to the daily operations and maintenance of assigned wells and production facilities. Prepares, maintains and submits daily reports for daily liquid/gas volumes production, chemicals used, well pressures, etc. Responsible for optimizing and maintaining oil and gas production and lease expenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for the safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of lease equipment, production facilities and water injection plants. This position has the authority to stop unsafe practices at any time.
- Responsible for production and injection well operations including routine maintenance of equipment and maintenance of the locations to company standards.
- Responsible and accountable for managing all fluids on the assigned route.
- Optimize each well on assigned route given daily operating conditions.
- Report problems requiring additional help or equipment to the Production Coordinator.
- Accurately record meter readings, pressures, and production volumes for report.
- Utilize appropriate safety equipment and ensure that all company policy, procedures, governmental regulations, etc. are adhered to.
- Witness and ensure accuracy of gauges, tests and run tickets performed by purchasers.
- Learn, maintain and optimize various forms of artificial lift.
- Understand LOE and cost impact.
- Maintain field offices, and company equipment including computers, vehicles, and cell phones.
- Work with automation systems, well control and liquid level monitors.
- Responsible for maintaining a neighborly and positive relationship with landowners and regulatory agency representatives.
- Comply with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policies.
- Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the Production Coordinator.

Qualifications

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Applied science degree (AAS) in Petroleum Production Operations, Instrumentation and Controls Technology or related preferred.
Language Ability
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Ability
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
